ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Jay Kilgore is nationally known for leading his "Toss the softbox" workshops, where he teaches how to get professional quality photos using anywhere from zero to four lights and using a host of lighting modifiers.  At his workshops, Jay will set up several different lighting stations and show you the reason behind the setup as well as making sure you get great images.

This is NOT a seminar - it is a shooting workshop!  Bring your camera and plenty of memory cards and or film. We will go over basic to advanced lighting, posing and model interaction. The workshop will start at Noon SHARP, you'll be shooting a lot and learning more!

This is NOT an "Intro to photography" workshop, please have a working knowledge of your camera and it's conditions: FULL MANUAL (aperture, shutter,ISO). You will need a DSLR camera, or a camera that has a hot shoe flash terminal. If you have a prosumer grade DSLR (Canon Digital Rebel series/Nikon D40/D50 series) please have a pc synch terminal. These terminals can be purchased via our Sponsor Englewood Camera.

Jay has perfected his lighting style and more so, perfected his photography teaching style. This means not only will you get a lot of great images, you'll learn a lot.  Jay's workshops are for everyone, from the newly purchased dslr user to the advanced pro, everyone is assured to learn something.

The workshop will start at 12:00pm and end around 6pm. Photographers are welcome to come as early as 11am.

There will be up to 2 "live" shooting stations, and if the weather works for us (i.e. snowing) we'll go outside for a few.

The workshop address is: 9910 E. Costilla Ave, Suite D. Centennial, CO 80112

Things covered at the workshop:

Glamour: The basis of all boudoir photography is glamour photography. Glamour photography until recent, has always been known and defined as "Playboy" style nudes. SInce digital photography has made it's explosion onto the scene, the meaning has changed. Glamour photography, the meaning at this workshop, will mean lingerie up to and including implied topless photography.

Boudoir: As stated above, boudoir photography is a different version of photography. The concentration is on lingerie and getting "husband approved" images. Majority of clients that want boudoir photography, are housewives and the significant others to the men and women serving over seas. The typical boudoir setting is not in a studio, not on a backdrop, although it's not uncommon to find images on one.

Photographer to Model contact and interaction: Jay will discuss how he approaches models and how he gets top models in Colorado to pay him or shoot free! He will discuss how to get a model relaxed and ready to shoot and getting great images 10 minutes after the model and photographer meets!!

POSING! Jay will discuss in great detail, posing of models. Everything from the hand positioning to legs, head and various other limbs.

Boudoir photography has been a fairly significant amount of Jay's income over the past year, join us as Jay shows tips, tricks and techniques he uses to get the shots that sells! This workshop is idea for Portrait Studios looking to supplement their income during the "off season" as well as model photographers looking to do something a little different.

The workshop will be broken down into groups. There will be several small groups with a monitor present. This monitor will make sure only one person is shooting at a time to ensure everyone gets to shoot and that everyone gets to observe. There will be NO SHOOTING when you're up to shoot the model. Jay will be roving around helping with posing and lighting.

Space is limited!  Sign up now to get a spot to shoot at this workshop > sign up here
