For as long as I can remember, I've had a camera in my hands. My photography passion is almost as old as I am! I hale from Minneapolis, MN and currently call Colorado Home.

My professional photography career started in January of 2001 when I decided that I was tired of doing landscape and macro photography, and wanted to shoot people.

My first time out shooting people were HORRIFIC!! but I loved the photos at first. After taking 24 hours to think of how great the images were, I looked back on them and was horrified at how they came out. The models liked them, so it wasn't a total loss, but not something I could live with.

At that time, I set out on a personal mission to get the best photo I could take. I started finding people and magazines that had images that I liked, and started to emulate the work! It took me 4 years to get my own style down, but as of June of 2005, I had a style that was recognizable to other industry professionals, and work that people were paying good money to have hanging in their homes. At that time, I started shooting more models.

My first big break came when I had back to back photo shoots of people such as; Miss MN USA, Miss' Teen Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota and others. From there, I branched out and started doing even more work with a client list including major companies from Comcast Inc to local designer/retailers.

I started teaching photography to others in 2005 and operated from an old web site called Toss the box. I just recently shut Toss the box workshops down because I wanted to focus on famous models. Models most people wouldn't ever have the chance to shoot with! Colorado Super Shoots was born and here we are now!

I have taught over 500 photographers in both a public and private setting and enjoy it. I enjoy watching the light bulb go on for people who thought obtaining great images was best done by having thousands of dollars worth of lights and gear.

I'm excited to open up this new and innovative form of photography workshops and hope you'll join me!
